What: Food and drink. Our concept is simple - cook everyday and just enough for that day, buy whatever looks good at Prahran market, change what is on the menu according to the season, and have fun doing it! As well as homemade cookies and pastries, fresh seasonal salads, organic fresh juices,home-cooked meals to eat in and take out and Vegan options, we offer top-shelf wines and beers at economical prices, and cocktails. We like Hendricks Gin and Grey Goose Vodka. Breakfast goes all day with eggs being a speciality. Try our Huevos Rancheros made with our original frijole mix, or our Moroccan eggs served with our home-made humus and felafel. Eugenius makes a chilli sauce to die for. You can even buy some to take home. For lunch, invent your own burrito from our list of fresh ingredients - the tortillas are made by us too:) We also have soups, slices, and salads - there's a daily quinoa salad as well as an array of roasted vegetables and a chop-chop. On weekends there's a roast - just like home. Desserts include our sell-out chocolate brownies (gluten free) and our carrot and treacle cakes. Yummo:)

Where: Prahran, or more precisely Windsor. Eugenius cafe is close to Chapel St., near the corner of High St. and Hornby St.(entrance from Hornby St.) diagonally across the road from Centrelink.Parking is available in the Eugenius carpark next door in Hornby St. or else on High St. Stop 32 for Tram #6 is outside. Windsor and Prahran train stations are an easy walk

When: Eugenius cafe and bar is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. till about 3.30pm. Thursday dinner is from 6pm. We are open Satuday and Sunday from 8.30am till 5pm.

Our informal communal atmosphere encourages coterie between neighbours both new and longstanding.

Thanks so much TIME OUT magazine for giving us 4 stars! We know we're great but its always good to get some extra recognition. For the review please click here.
